Satyr.   Antique sculpture,  Roman copy following an Hellenistic design.  Bronze, 51cm high.  Ornament from a fountain in Pompeii.  The alloy and patina have been examined by Dr. Zdzislaw Hensel, director of the Central Laboratory of the Archaeological and Ethnological Institute, P.A.N. (Polish Academy of Science) in Warsaw, Poland.   Dr. Hensel has also interpreted X-ray results. 

Deposited in the Jagiellonian University Museum, Collegium Maius, Krakow, Poland.
